A Tablehopp event guide

Student events. The start of a new crowd.

The best part of a first student night is not knowing who will become your people. Give newcomers an easy way in, a small group to move with and a few chances to meet beyond the first introduction.

Make the first meeting easy

Choose a starting place that is easy to find, with someone from the organizing group there to welcome people. A clear arrival window helps newcomers who do not yet know the campus or the others taking part.

Explain the evening before it begins. People should know what joining involves, what they need to bring, which costs they cover and how to reach an organizer. Do not make knowing someone already a condition of finding the group.

Build moments to meet, not tests to pass

Small teams can give people a starting point for conversation. A clue or shared stop offers something to do together without demanding a performance from every newcomer. A dinner can introduce a different group over the next course.

Keep participation optional and respect people who prefer not to drink or compete. Check venue access, age restrictions and the route yourself, and give the group a clear way to reconnect if someone leaves an activity early.

Where Tablehopp fits

Tablehopp brings guest registration, the schedule, team information, messages and destinations into the event. You invite through a link or code and decide whether clues or team scores belong in the evening. The map helps guests find the next stop.

Your student association still arranges the places, the people welcoming guests and any venue requirements. Tablehopp does not replace those arrangements, and this guide does not claim university partnerships or ticketing integrations.

Before the first guests arrive

  1. Make the start easy to find

Choose a recognizable meeting place and identify the organizers who will welcome newcomers.

  2. Explain the invitation

Share how to join, the expected costs, timing and an organizer contact.

  3. Choose the group format

Decide whether the evening is a pub crawl, a team route or a dinner, and which activities are optional.

  4. Plan for late arrivals

Give people a way to catch up with the group without depending on a private chat they have not joined.

Questions before you start

Is Tablehopp only for cycling dinners?

No. The App Store listing also describes student events, pub crawls, kickoffs and other social events with stops and teams.

Can an event work without alcohol or competition?

Yes. The plan can be a shared route or dinner. Clues, teams and points are optional; drinking is not required to participate in the format described here.

Does the app arrange our campus venues?

No venue arrangements are promised here. The organizing group confirms access, bookings and venue rules itself, then uses Tablehopp for the guest experience.
